What I felt like : first arriving in Hong Kong it felt very familiar cause I’ve been there twice with my family before. I was a thrilled and excited to join my friends to party, in our apartment. We came here to do our last internship for our master year. The first two weeks were okay, I felt a bit sick of the city after doing a lots of clubbing and shopping. When the week end came, we would go hiking and to the beach, it’s like only 20 min by bus straight to Shake O beach which is an okay beach because of the crowd but it starts getting real when you get to Ham Tin Wan Beach, I found another face of Hong Kong : the hiking part. So many other islands you can go to, just by ferry and plus it’s cheap.

Most of my days looked like this : go to work, wait for lunch break to test out any cheap restaurant around my workplace which was located in Kennedy Town and I was living in Sheung Wan. Which is a very central station, it got everything you needs from clubbing, to restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Very convenient, I remember at that time I paid 7500 HK$ (= 900€)  for my room which was maybe 12m², the whole apartment must have been like 40m². It was a very good deal compare to where I was living when I first arrived in CausewayBay and living with my friends from business school. It was so tiny lmao I had like a single bed and a tiny armoir only that could fit in the 5m² bedroom and our living room must have been of like 10m², we had like 4 rooms in this tiny apartment of 50m² which was obviously renovated for colocation like these.

The housing market in Hong-Kong is crazy expensive even though I come from Paris.
